Update v1.0.3 (Early Access Release!)


Added: 

  • New cave region!
  • Lamps (You can dagger dash into them!)
  • 5 new rooms
    • Movement based challenge;
    • Common Rooms;
    • Boss room;
  • New boss!
  • Overhauled main menu.
  • Soul Skill selection system!
    • Equipped soul skill is displayed on the left of the HP bar.
    • You can now obtain and swap between soul skills.
    • Yokai Style skill working completely and can be obtained from the Stranger's Shop!
  • Soul warp (Fast-travel)!
  • New tutorial demi-boss.
    • Rewards player with the dash skill!
  • Cave Shop
    • Stranger has setup a shop on the caves!
    • Buy different items to aid your journey through the Hollowing Depths, but beware... some artifacts are cursed!
  • Ropes added to vertical zone doors.
  • Stage tracker on puzzle (so the puzzle goal is easier to understand).
  • Spike sprites added to deathzones.
  • Pickups: Skills now are only usable after the player obtains them. When the player unlocks a new skill a pop up is displayed showing how to use it.
  • Sounds added! (a whole load of 'em)
    • Sounds added to most of the game.
    • Sounds fall of after a certain distance, depending on the volume of the sound.
    • Sounds are directional, unless you're standing too close to them.

Changes:

  • No more placeholder sprites at cave levels.
  • Attack scaling is now linear, adding .33 per level.
  • Special attacks scale with level.
  • Bow now requires a full energy bar to use and consumes it. Base damage increased and now scales with player attack.

Major bugfixes:

  • Daggerdash no longer tries to protect you by placing you out of harm's way (inside walls, where you can't move... thanks a lot, dagger!).
  • Max energy and energy level will now display correctly for upgrades and energy consumption step updates.
